CEUS (for DC, IA, IL, MD, NC, NE, and WV)
Please carefully read the following information as it pertains to your state and license type. Failure to follow the below guidelines can result in loss of CEU hours.

General Information and Guidelines

  • Licensee will only receive hours for programs that contribute directly to the competency of their license as specified by your state‚Äôs regulatory board.
  • Supported license types and applicable classes:
    • Cosmetology, general or advanced
    • Students, Apprentices, and Barbers are welcome to attend any class/stage presentation but do not need to sign up for credit and will not receive a certificate as CEU accreditations do not apply to these license types.
  • To obtain CEU Hours, attendees must:
    • 1) Registration for CE Hours in advance required for ALL ELIGIBLE STATES.
      • Must provide full license # INCLUDING any prefix/suffix
    • 2) Attend the full 60 minutes of each class you would like to receive credit for.
      • Late arrivals and connectivity issues are not exempt.
      • Must stay logged in and active during the class
      • Log in to only one class at a time. If logged in to multiple classes, all classes during that time will be void.
    • 3) For each class completed a certificate will be sent within 72 hours

Additional information for North Carolina License holders only

  • CEU providers no longer report CEU hours or attendance to the State Board. It is the responsibility of the licensee to maintain records of attendance including 1) Course title and description, 2) Date conducted, 3) Address of location where the course was conducted, 4) hours earned.
    • CEU Certificates inclusive of the required information will be provided at the conclusion of each class as long as the attendee has followed the above general guidelines.
  • Audits of the licensee’s continuing education may be conducted at any time. Upon the board’s request, each licensee shall provide completed records to the board.

No credit will be given for digital library courses. Only courses marked as CE Eligible on 2/28/2022
